NRNA Macau contributes Rs 220,000 to PM Relief Fund

Kathmandu,4 Nov 2014: The Non Resident Nepali (NRN) Association Macau has contributed Rs 220,000 to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund aimed at extending financial support to victims of natural disasters in the country.

NRNA Macau president Sudarshan Thapa handed a cheque of the amount to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala amidst a programme at the PM’s official residence Baluwatar this morning. Receiving the assistance, PM Koirala thanked Nepali people at home and abroad for their assistance at the time of natural calamities in the country. The government is aware of full utilisation of the assistance amount, he added.

The PM Relief Fund has been getting assistance from various sides with floods and landslides that occurred in many parts of the country, taking lives of many people in August.
