Kathmandu, 29 March, 2015 :Â Vice-chairman of National Sports Council (NSC) Tendi Sherpa has been arrested with 25 tola of gold, which he tried to smuggle into the country.
Sherpa was returning from Hong Kong when he was arrested with the yellow metal at Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday night, police said. Sherpa has been handed over to the customs department for necessary action.
Sherpa is also the president of Nepal Basketball Association.
