OFFERINGS TO SUN AND MANTRAS CHANTING FOR PM MODI

Kathmandu, Aug. 3: An organization called the Swarajya Melmilap Abhiyan organised a special worship today on the occasion of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day official visit to Nepal.

As part of the worship, special offerings were made to the sun and mantras chanted for 1,008 times at the Suryaghat at the Pashupatinath Temple premises. The Ganesh Atharva Sirsha rituals were also performed on the occasion wishing success to the Indian PM’s visit beginning today.

Coordinator of the Abhiyan, Keshav Chaulagain said Nepal and India share the same cultural and traditional ethos which has cemented the bilateral relations and solidarity for ages and this needed to be extended at the people’s level. He added that the rudrabhisek rituals and worships that the visiting Indian PM would be performing at the Pashupatinath Temple tomorrow have added to the dignity of the entire Hindu community throughout the world.
