Kathmandu, June 29, 2015: This year’s Madan Bhandari Memorial Journalism Award has been honoured to Journalist Prakriti Adhikari of Gorkhapatra Daily. The award carries a purse of Rs 25,000.
At a function organized to mark the 14th anniversary of the college today, the prize was handed over to journalist Adhikari by the college patron and CPN (UML) Vice-chair Vidya Devi Bhandari .
Modern education should be people oriented and medium of social, cultural and economic transformation, said leader Bhandari on the occasion. Besides that she urged everyone to join in nation building campaign by negating the personal and party based benefits.
The college has launched different academic courses from higher secondary level to masters’ level.
According to the campus management committee chair Chiranjivi Sharma, they were planning to develop the college to an advanced university.
