PM Koirala At Durbar Square Area To Participate In Debris Removal Campaign

Prime Minister Sushil Koirala today participated in the debris removing campaign undergoing at the Basantapur Durbar Square area

Kathmandu, May 29: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala participated in the debris removing undergoing campaign today at the Basantapur Durbar Square area which is enlisted in the list of World Heritage Sites that was damaged by recent ‘Gorkha’ quake.

The devastating earthquake completely destroyed the temples, shrines and other archeological infrastructures in the area turning everything into debris.

The Works are underway to remove the debris and the Nepalese Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Kathmandu Metropolitan City are working with priority for the same. Similarly, Prime Minister Koirala inspected the Basantapur Durbar, Hanumandhoka, Narsingh Chowk and Kumari Ghar on the occasion.
