Kanchanpur, July 29: A Joint School Monitoring Committee has recommended the District Education Office (DEO), Kanchanpur, to take action against the schools in Kanchanpur district running against Education Act and Regulations. The Committee recommended the DEO to take action against district-based community and private schools running illegally.
A team formed under the coordination of Assistant District Education Officer, Padam Raj Joshi, carried out monitoring after mobilizing separate committees in all four constituencies of the district from mid-June.
The Joint Monitoring Committee prepared a report after monitoring 230 schools. The report submitted at the Education Office by the Committee was released on Monday.
The report states that the Committee found classes running without taking permission from District Education office, teachers at community schools are found associated to private schools, no uniformity on educational fee at private schools, among others.
Committee Coordinator Joshi said that educational quality would be improved by resolving educational problems on the basis of the report.
There are 263 community and 200 private schools in Kanchanpur district.
Similarly, the Committee had also monitored tuition centres running without DEO permission.
District Education Officer Amar Prasad Bhatta said that action would be taken against such schools on the basis of the report.
