Rotaract District to Organize 11th Rotaract District Conference

Kathmandu, January 13, 2018: Rotaract District 3292, Nepal and Bhutan is planning to organize an ’11th Rotaract District Conference’ in Manigram. Butwal on January 18 and 19. This is the annual event of Rotaract in Nepal where more than 1,000 Rotaract members across the nation are likely to take part in. ‘Creating Spaces For Youth’ is the theme of the conference. The Rotaract District informed that behind having such theme is to advocate on behalf of voluntary youth organizations to create spaces for them as recognized youth group in the community. The conference will have different sessions targeted to youth. There are parallel sessions on Leadership and Entrepreneurship. There are panel discussion and keynote addresses on the theme itself. Youth political leaders, trainers, activists and government officials are joining the conference as resource persons to encourage youth.

Similarly, some youth led NGOs are also joining the conference. Rotaract Club of Butwal, Rotaract club of Tinau City, Rotaract Club of Bhairahawa, Rotaract club of Kapilvastu Mid-Town and Rotaract Club of Thames International College are hosting the event in Dreamland Resort, Manigram. Rotaract Clubs in Nepal are voluntary youth club affiliated with Rotary International. They are the youth wings of Rotary Clubs and right now there are 126 Rotaract clubs in Nepal and Bhutan. With over 5000 members in network, Rotaract clubs are organizing different community service and leadership development activities.
