Kathmandu,13 Feb 2015: The Samsung Mobile Fest -2015 kicked off here today marking the Seventh Anniversary of the Tamrakar Complex.
The Fest being held at Tamrakar Complex, New Road will last till February 19.
Arrangements have been made for providing discount from five to 50 percent on the purchase of mobile phones throughout the festival period under the ‘cash back’ offer through lucky draw. The lucky draw would take place every day and the winner of the draw would get a smart phone worth Rs 30,000. There is also a bumper prize offer and a Valentine’s Day offer.
Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh inaugurated the Fest. Speaking on the occasion, he referred to the present political situation and said that now the parties should not backtrack from the process in the name of consensus in the light of the first Constituent Assembly facing dissolution harping on consensus.
Touching upon the importance of ICT in the modern age, he said mobile telephony is an integral part of life in this age. He stressed the need of development of the IT sector.
CA member duo Bhimsen Das Pradhan and Dhyan Govinda Ranjit underlined the need of expanding the mobile market.
