Kanchanpur, Apr 22: The District Education Office (DEO), Kanchanpur, has provided scholarship to 520 freed kamalaris (bonded labourers) in the current fiscal year 2013/14.
The office provided scholarship of Rs 809,000 to 520 freed kamalaris studying in different community schools in the district.
The DEO provided scholarship to 159 freed kamalaris of primary level, 269 of lower secondary level, 73 of secondary level, 14 of higher secondary level and five of Bachelor under the Freed Kamalary Scholarship Programme. RSS
