SERVICE NEPAL PROVIDES BOOKS TO SIX SCHOOLS

20140824-180317-64997496.jpgSarlahi, August 31:   On the occasion of the Seventh National Library Day, Service Nepal provided books to six schools worth 250,000 rupees on Saturday in Sarlahi District.

Service for Peace Nepal at Hariban provided more than 1,500 books to six primary schools that are district based by organizing program at Baharthawa.

Sabin Khanal, Program Coordinator of Service Nepal said that they provided books as a gift to those schools running the mini library so that they could run in more effective way. In 2010, Service Nepal initiated to establish libraries.

The school principals were handed over books by the Saroj Khanal, Executive Director of Service Nepal. Khanal said that the organization as inaugurated its library expansion campaign in remote areas of the district to impart the light of education.

He further added that in more that 40 places of the district, Service Nepal has established libraries and already working on establish other 10 libraries.

Under the slogan, “Expansion of Library: A basis for a civilized society” , the 7th National Library Day is being marked today across the country.
