Melamchi, 16 Oct 2014: The continuous snowfall with rain occurred for the past couple of days has affected normal life in high-hill VDCs of Sindhupalchowk including Helambu, Bhotang, Kiyul, Thangpalkot and Thangpaldhap.
The continuous snowfall has not allowed locals of the VDCs to move outside from their house and caused heavy damages to their farming, said Prakash Sherpa, a local of Helambu.
Likewise, the local schools of Thangpaldhap, Thangpalkot, Bhotang and Helambu have remained closed for the past three days due to snowfall, said Kumar Basnet, a local.
