People's Front Nepal slams NC-UML joint proposal

Birgunj (Parsa), 31 October 2014: A clash between the locals of Bagahi and Pacharukhi areas in Parsa district this morning left ten people injured.

According to the Parawanipur Police Post, the clash broke out between the locals from Inarwa of Bagahi VDC-8 and Hardiya of Pacharukhi VDC-9.

The police who reached the site have taken the situation under control although the locals made attempts to attack the security personnel. The police have taken control of the village, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bir Bahadur Oli at the District Police Office, Parsa, said. The clash is said to have taken place over a dispute over the use of a river bank for concluding the Chhath festival. Investigation was on in connection to the incident and the injured are undergoing treatment at the Narayani Sub-regional Hospital and the National Medical College, it is stated.
