Viber offers free calls to any numbers in 52 countries

September 8, 2016: Viber users with a registered Nepali phone number now can make national or international call for free to any landline or non-viber mobile in 52 countries as part of its new scheme. The offer that began on Wednesday will last till September 19 between 8pm to 10pm daily.

Viber, which has over 754 million users worldwide, brought this offer exclusively to Nepal as it is a key market in South Asia.

“Starting 6th September 2016, Nepalese users can use free Viber Out feature, designed to call mobile and landline numbers around the world from any iOS, Android and Windows smartphone or Windows PC or Mac,” read a statement released by Viber on Wednesday.

“Viber has a very strong presence in Nepal. Since a large part of Nepal’s population stay outside for work or education, the Free Viber Out offer will give people an opportunity to connect freely  without worrying about call charges ,” said Anubhav Nayyar , Regional Head , South Asia for Viber.

Viber has also launched Nepali language stickers that are gaining popularity lately. The company informed that it will provide added value to Nepali users by offering more unique services and facilities in near future.
