Ilam, Jan 21: The Ilam Social Initiatives Group has recently distributed 200 sets of warm clothes to the orphans and destitute people in half a dozen VDCs of the district.
Gajurmukhi Tourism Centre took the lead to provide the warm clothes to help orphan and poor fend off biting cold.
The clothes were collected from various sources as the District Division of the Red Cross Society and the Kathmandu Leo Club supported the cause, informed Bibhusan Rai, the Secretary at the Centre.
Some 60 poor families of Dhuseni of Deumai Municipality in the district were benefitted.
The Centre aims to continue the social welfare work and is going to distribute warm clothes soon in the other rural parts of the district, shared Secretary Rai.
