Youth Speak Forum to be organized for Sustainable Development Goals

Kathmandu, May 04, 2016: AIESEC is going to organize a global youth movement Youth Speak Forum (YSF), a premier event to bring together both young and senior leaders and experts to form a diverse conversations around global issues with the theme ‘Sustainable Development Goals.’

With special focus on the issues of poverty eradication, quality education and gender equality, YSF envisions to enable young people to voice their opinions and take action through very effective workshops, group discussions, ideas sharing and many more practical learning along with fun and entertaining roll calls.

YSF aims to raise massive awareness about the sustainable development goals (SDGs) among Nepalese youths, consequently providing them with suitable platform to voice up their challenges and motivations to make their communities a better place to live in as they aspire. It seeks to bridge the gap between youth and the Agenda.

“YSF will act as a platform to the young people to voice their opinions on key challenges, hopes and ambitions and let them share their passion with the whole world and at the same time helping them learn to get engaged with the issues that matter the most ultimately helping them generate positive impact in their lives and the life of people around,” said the press release by AIESEC.

The event to be organized on May 21st will see speeches from delegates from both national and international level like Tokehiko Nakao, President of Asian Development Bank; Anuradha Koirala of Maiti Nepal, representatives of UN Habitat and among others.
