Doti, Aug. 11: As many as 1,608 differently able people have been provided with ID cards in Doti district so far.
The District Women and Children’s Office, Doti, distributed ID cards to 245 differently able people before their classification and 1,363 cards after it, the office said.
As many as 137 people including 85 men and 52 women are categorized as ‘A’ category disabled and 337 including 132 women and 205 as ‘B’ category, the office added. Likewise, 563 including 268 men and 295 women are categorized as ‘C’ category disabled while 336 including 121 women and 205 men as ‘D’ category disabled.
According to the National Census 2068 BS, the district has as many as 7,302 disable people, said Mahadev Bharati, Chairman of the Disabled Service Association, Doti.
