Bangladesh, November 25, 2015:Daffodil International University Debating Club – DIUDC presented the biggest Inter Daffodil event of the year “7th Inter Departmental Debate Competition & 11th years celebration of DIUDC” on 14-16 October 2015 with the slogan “Battle of logic in our soul”
The opening ceremony was held on Wednesday morning, 14 October, 2015 in DIU auditorium. The competition was divided into two sections-“Songshoddiyo bitorko (Bangla debate)” and British Parliamentary debate (BP). 26 teams from different departments were participated. Among them 14 team was for bangla debate and 12 for English.
In opening ceremony, (from right side) current president of DIUDC, Erfan Elahi Sharif, senior president of DIUDC Mehedi hasan shoyeb, Head of journalism and mass communication department Sayed Mizanur rahman Raju , Pro VC of DIU Dr.Golam Rahman,Founder VC Md.Aminul islam,Head of law department and Moderator of DIUDC Mrs.Farhana Helal Mehtab,Head of English department Mrs.Umme Kulsum and General secretary Rashed Ahmed Ratul were present.
English debate up to semi-final held on that day and Bangla debate up to round 5 was held on the second day. On last day of English debate and semi-final and final of bangla debate was held.
In closing and prize giving ceremony Mr. Birupakkha Poul, founder president of Bangladesh Debate Federation and Chief Economist of Bangladesh bank. Mr Shafayet Rahman, the founder president of DIUDC were present. The team EEE Electric shock was the winner of bangla debate And CSE C-sharp was the winner of English debate.
The program ended with a grand celebration of 11th year of DIUDC.
