Banepa, Nov 1, 2014: Construction of a helipad has been initiated at Dhulikhel municipality-1 after the government chose this place for the retreat to the heads of the state and of governments from the SAARC countries in view of the imminent SAARC Summit in Kathmandu.
Leveling of ground has been complete and the blacktopping will bee soon, said the District Administration Office.
Local Development Officer, Prem Bhattarai, informed that the Ministry of Local Development has estimated the cost of Rs 2.4 million for the helipad construction.
Khadga Dal Battalion has been assigned for the construction of the two helipads.
Meanwhile, a security strategy has been formulated to beef up the security at Dhulikhel.
Earlier, a team led by the Foreign Ministry had acquired information about the security in the area.
