Kathmandu, April 19, 2015: An student died in a street accident before the Chabahil-based Gopi Krishna Cinema Hall early today.
The victim has been distinguished as Bal Kumari Dahal, 21, of Okhaldhunga locale. She was an student of Pashupati Multiple Campus in Chabahil.
The mishap occurred when a mini truck (Ba 1 Kha 9112) hit Dahal while she was crossing the street. She was coming back to her Kapan-based home from the school, police said.
Representative at the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, Ramshahpath said that Dahal was declared dead on arriving at Om Hospital. The smaller than expected truck driver has been slipping off and a quest for him is in progress, he included.
The vehicle has been kept at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala.
Taking after the occurrence, Free Students Union of the Campus ended activity at Mitra Park, Chabahil. The challenge will proceed until due activity against the driver is taken, said FSU President Manoj Baidya.
