Babiyachaur (Myagdi), 16 November  2015: The families affected by a huge landslide that occurred on May 23 at Bainsari of Myagdi district have been provided with five million rupees as relief.
This amount was collected by different organisations and the Myagdi folks at home and abroad in aid of the landslide victims. The relief also includes various goods.
According to the Bainsari Landslide Victims Relief Management Committee, various relief goods worth more than four million rupees have been distributed to the affected families.
Committee secretary Man Bahadur Purja said each worst-affected family has been provided with Rs 200 thousand in cash. The flood victim families have been categorised into four groups according to the extent of damage suffered by them due to the landslide.
As many as two dozen houses were buried by the massive landslide at Bainsari while putting more at high risk, leading to displacement of many families.
