Dadeldhura, Aug. 14: The closed Blood Transfusion Service Centre of Dadeldhura district has resumed its service from Wednesday. The centre was closed for the past two years after it faced blood shortage.
The centre, located at Nepal Red Cross Society, Dadeldhura Branch, resumed its service after Amargadhi FM, Dadeldhura, organised blood donation programme on Wednesday on the occasion of its fifth anniversary.
The blood donation programme was jointly organised by Amargadhi FM and Dadeldhura branch of Nepal Red Cross Society. A total of 20 pints of blood was collected.
Patients were compelled to go to Tarai districts and India for the treatment after the Sub-Regional Hospital, Dadeldhura, closed operation service due to blood shortage.
