Kathmandu,6 Feb 2015: In yet another example of a broadening anti-graft sweep, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday filed a charge sheet against Nepal Electricity Authority employee for seeking financial incentive from service recipient while relocating electricity wire.
NEA Maharajgunj Distribution Centre electrical helper Krishna Bahadur Sapkota was arrested for taking Rs 65,000 in bribe from a service recipient while relocating the electricity wire at Mhepi in the capital city. Bishnulal Shrestha, who was involved in the case as a middle man, was also arrested.
In the charge sheet filed at the Special Court after investigation produced incriminating evidences against the two, the anti-graft body has claimed Rs 65,000 in compensation, a CIAA statement reads.
