Baglung, November 6, 2016: Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi has said the industries that have remained closed for long would come into operation soon.

Inaugurating the second annual general meeting of the Nepal Forest-based Timber Furniture Industry Entrepreneurs Association, Baglung, on Saturday, Minister Joshi said the industrial development has been on priority of the government.

The government is making necessary preparation to resume the operation of Hetauda Textile Factory after Nepal Drugs Limited.

“Preparation is underway to manufacture general medicines such as Paracetamol and Jeevanjal from the Nepal Drugs Limited. The goal is to provide citizens with the inevitable medicines at cheaper prices,” he added.

The government is also planning to engage private sector to run Butwal Yarn Factory and Birgunj Sugar Mill which have remained closed since long.

Without the development of enterprises the country’s development is not possible, he said, urging all to be entrepreneurs.
