Condolence Proposal On Thapa’s Loss By RPP

Kathmandu, April 16, 2015: A deep grief with a condolence proposal was expressed by emergency meeting of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) today, on the loss of its senior leader and former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa.

Former PM and Constituent Assembly (CA) member Thapa died while undergoing treatment in New Delhi. And the sudden loss of Thapa has caused irreparable loss to the party, said the meeting held at party Chairperson Pashupati Shumser JB Rana’s residence at Maharajgunj.The meeting also extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and wished for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

The Proposal stated that the country has lost a respected political leader voicing for the timely deceleration of a new constitution through consensus to give an end to the extending transition.”It is a big loss to the party and the entire country”.

It is informed that the dead body of Thapa will be brought to Kathmandu through special aircraft of the Indian government this afternoon.

Similarly, Thapa’s dead body will be kept at his residence, Maligaun, till Friday morning and will be kept at party office, Chawahil, at 10 am tomorrow morning and in Dasharath Stadium for final tribute from 12.00 on Friday, said RPP Assistant Spokesperson Kiran Giri.

The funeral ceremony oflate Thapa will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat. Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand-led RPP has also expressed condolence to Thapa.

And Party Publicity Committee Coordinator Meena Subedi stated that an emergency meeting has been called at party central office Anamnagar at 1.00 pm today regarding the loss of Thapa.
