Rare Wild Species Increasing Tourists’ Attraction

Ratnanagar (Chitwan), April 16, 2015: The rare One-horned riho and other species at kumroj central community forest is drawing the attention of numbers of Tourists at Kumroj of Sauraha,in east Chitwan.

The wildlife species such as rhino, tiger, beer and leopard spotted in Kumroj Central Community Forest are attracting tourists to visit the area.Office secretary of the community forest, Bharat Nepal said that the income of community forest has exceeded five million rupees in a year with the increase in the flow of tourists.

As per the source the tourism entrepreneurship has been the main source of income of the community forest. While there was tough time keeping a single rhino in the forest the community forest has own at least five rhinos now.

Nepal further said that average around 150 domestic and foreign tourists visits to the Kumrok forest area for elephant riding and jungle safari daily.So,The community forest has allocated Rs.2 million for the arrangement of home stay in the village in order to tap increasing potential in the area.
