Coolpad smartphones launched in Nepal

Coolpad has been launched in Nepal by Jaima Intercontinental Pvt Ltd (JIPL) — the sole authorised distributor and marketer of Coolpad smartphones for the country.

Kathmandu, February 15, 2017: One of the major players in the global wireless communication industry since 1993, Coolpad has been launched in Nepal by Jaima Intercontinental Pvt Ltd (JIPL) — the sole authorised distributor and marketer of Coolpad smartphones for the country.

Coolpad Cool 1 is the first phone in Nepal with 13 plus 13 MP dual rear camera setup, as per a media release. It has a pair of 13 MP sensors with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. The handset sports an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree wide-angle lens. The Coolpad Cool 1 is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC coupled with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and an Adreno 510 GPU.

Three additional smartphone models — Note 3S, Mega 3 and Mega 2.5D — were also launched. Cool 1 has been priced at Rs 30,996 and will be available in gold colour variant.
