Kathmandu,17 Dec 2014: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal today called on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at the latter’s office, Shital Niwas.
During the meeting, the pair discussed about the matters relating to the latest political situation in the country and other contemporary issues.
On the occasion, President Dr Yadav was briefed about the progress made so far over the constitution drafting process by the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman, it is learnt. Of late, the President is busy in acquiring information about the progress on constitution-drafting from political parties as the date scheduled for promulgating a new constitution is approaching nearer.
Leader Dahal told the President that his party was effortful for announcing the constitution within the scheduled date on the basis of consensus, he (Dahal) informed to media after the meeting.
