Salleri (Solukhumbu), 19 October 2014: Two children died in a fire at Gorakhani VDc in Solukhumbu district this morning.
The deceased have been identified as nine-year-old Purna Bahadur Tamang and five-year-old Pasang Lamhu Tamang, the grand children of Push Bahadur Tamang, according to the District Police Office, Solukhumbu.
Sub-Inspector Khagendra Khadka said they were burnt to death in the fire that took place at around 5:00 am.
The fire was brought under the control after six hours. All the goods inside the house were destroyed in the fire while three other children who were inside were able to escape alive.
Details of the incident have yet to be ascertained, it is learnt.
