Birgunj (Parsa), July 29: Police have arrested an Indian national along with gold from Birgunj, Parsa district.
The arrested is Kanhaiya Varma, 28, of Laxmangadh district of West Bengal, India.
Police seized 239 gramms of yellow metal from Varma. A team deployed from the District Police Office arrested Varma along with gold while acting on a tip-off.
Superintendent of Police, Dhiraj Pratap Singh, said that police arrested him while he was smuggling gold to Raxual, India, hiding in the shoe.
According to the Office, the arrested will be sent to Central Regional Office of the Department of Revenue Investigation, Bara, today itself for the necessary action.
