Damauli, April 1, 2015: Minister for Industry Mahesh Basnet has said that the government is preparing to develop a belt in each district as the industrial region.
At a concluding ceremony of the Khairanitar Mahotsav here Wednesday, Minister Basnet said the government was also planning to run some sick and new industries in collaboration with the private sector.
He was of the view that Nepalis youth should not leave for other countries for job if industries were established in the country even with small capital.
Minister Basnet hoped that such fairs would help uplift the country’s economy.
Also speaking at the programme were former President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Ananda Raj Mulmi and lawmaker Tukraj Sigdel, among others.
The organizers said that nearly 240,000 people visited the fair and transaction of Rs 40 million was recorded in the 12-day-long festival.
