May 16, 2016– The Bishwo Shanti Deep in Lumbini is set to be taken to the Everest base camp.
Nepali Olympians Baikuntha Manandhar, Khadga Ranabhat, Krishna Basnet and three-time Everest marathon winner Deepak Rai among others will circle Kathmandu, Syawambhu, Baudhhanath from Lumbini and finally reach Solukhumbu.
The Olympians are scheduled to arrive at Kathmandu along with the Bishwo Shanti Deep on Sunday. Tourism Council, Buddhist Circuits.com and Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon informed that this programme is being organised to rejuvenate the tourism sector that has faded after the April quake and Indian’s unofficial embargo.
