Ilam, July 6, 2017: The national drama festival has been organized in the Ilam district headquarters for the first time from Thursday.
The Nepal Music and Drama Academy chancellor Sarubhakta inaugurated the festival amid a function.
The festival will run for four days and different nine groups will stage plays during the session, said drama department chief of the academy Ramesh Ranjan Jha.
Such festival was organized in Dolakha last year, Jha added.
According to Jha, Arohan Gurukul will perform ‘Jiudo Manchhe’ (living man), Chetana Natya Samuha will perform ‘Euta Yasto Manchhe’ (one such man) and other drama groups will perform different dramas.
