Kathmandu, 26th January, 2015 : Lumbini Football Club registered its maiden victory in the National League football tournament today.
In the match held at the local Dasarath Stadium, Lumbini got better of Nepal Police Club by 1-0 to collect three points.

In the evenly matched contest, Lumbini striker Amir Shrestha’s goal in the 85th minute of the match was enough to give his team a taste of victory.
Today’s match was the third under the league organized by the All Nepal Football Association or ANFA. Prior to this, Manang Marsyangdi Club defeated Far-western Football Club while Three Star Club defeated Morang to garner three points each.
Five A division clubs based in the capital and four regional football teams are competing in the league that will see the winner walk home with a purse of Rs. 10 million.
