Attariya (Kailali), April 10: The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has kicked off Mechi-Mahakali drive for fresh and quality food.
The Department announced the campaign on Wednesday after holding wider consultations with stakeholders in Dhangadhi of Kailali.
Director General of the Department, Jeevan Prabha Lama said they started campaign from Dhangadhi of far-Western region to make consumers aware on quality food consumption.
Under the drive, the food quality control team would reach out to hotels, restaurants and cafeteria to check food quality and categorize them on the basis of their service.
He said it would bring hotels under the domain of quality.
