Kathmandu, Aug. 6: The All Nepal Ex-Indian Army Servicemen’s Welfare Association has expressed its gratitude to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his ‘inspiring’ statement that he delivered in the Legislature-Parliament in course of his two-day official visit to Nepal on August 3.

A meeting of the Association chaired by its president Dr Laxmi Kanta Pandeya today concluded that part of Modi’s address to the Legislature-Parliament that stated – India has not won a single war in which a Gorkha soldier has not given his blood, in which a Nepali has not been martyred – has honoured the brave soldiers and their respect towards their motherland Nepal.

The Indian PM’s saying that hydroelectricity, medicinal herbs and tourism were the basis of Nepal’s economic prosperity and that India would also extend support to Nepal in developing organic farming, and also the statement that Nepal is a bouquet of the Mountainous, Hilly and the Tarai region, has touched the hearts of all Nepalis, the Association stated.
