July 13, 2017: CNN, a USA-based renowned television network has recently published the list of 14 coolest nationalities in the world. As per the list, Nepalese stand out in the 12th position behind Australians and ahead of Belgians and Turks.
“Like all pimps and players, you’ve never seen a Nepalese in a hurry to get anywhere. Yet from this mellow-gold group have also come the feared Nepalese Gurkhas, among the toughest fighting men in the world, and Sherpas, who you might know as semi-outdoorsy types,” mentions CNN.
Nepalese grabbed the spot because of the legacy of our brave and adventurous men. Tenzing Norgay is called the ‘Icon of Cool’ who “reached summit of Mt. Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary, but casually stepped aside and let his hiking buddy hog all the credit.”
However, CNN also includes ‘not-so-cool’ part for all nationalities listed. According to CNN, ‘harsh government regulations and irresponsible authorities turn off a fair amount of travelers’ is something that doesn’t make Nepalese seem so cool.
Brazilians topped the list for their sporty and party loving reputation followed by Singaporeans, Jamaicans, Mongolians, Americans, Koreans, Spanish, Japanese, Botswana, Chinese, Australia, Nepalese, Belgians and Turks for their uniquely cool features.
