Kathmandu, 24 March, 2015Â : The Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist has withdrawn the Nepal banda (general strike) it announced for April 1.
The party had declared the protest programme demanding the release of the party leaders and cadres arrested on March 20. The administration arrested few leaders and cadres of the CPN Maoist while they were picketing the house of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Investment Board Nepal, Radhesh Panta.
We have called back the protest programme as the Administration released the arrested party cadres, said General Secretary of the Party Chand.
