Madheshi Parties Disagreed To Issue Constitution Deleting 'Interim' From Interim Consitution - Leader Deuba

Dhangadi,31 Jan 2015: Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has shared that the Madheshi parties turned down his proposal to issue the constitution removing ‘interim’ from the interim constitution.

Speaking at a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union at Geta Airport in Dhangadi on Saturday, Leader Deuba explained that he proposed so to the Madhesh parties in the context of the increasing difference of opinions among the parties.

In response to a media query on re-structuring of the State,  former prime minister Deuba opined that there was no point in separating Kailali and Kanchanpur, the two Terai districts in Far-western region from the mountains.

He said so in the light of an agreement among the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and UCPN (Maoist) reached during the first Constituent Assembly not to separate these two districts from the mountainous region.
