Kathmandu, May 2, 2015:According to the Nepal Red Cross society,  more than 2000 pints of blood is in stock at the Central Blood Transfusion centre for the treatment of the victims.
As per the Public Relation Officer of the Red Cross Society, Divya Poudel, volunter have been seen active in donating blood and many other volunteer are also ready for blood donation if needed.
Likewise it has provided first aid to more than 20,000 injured people. Further 20,000 tents, 10,000 blankets and food stuffs are provided to the quake victims.
It has received assistance from almost 20 countries Red Cross. According to a preliminary report the quake has affected 900 VDCs and 58 municipalities of 50 districts.
In the quake-hit areas more than 5,000 volunteers plus the staffs from the Red Cross have been mobilized for welfare of the victims.
