Kathmandu, Sept 14: The newly-appointed Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Deepak Chandra Amatya and Minister for Industry Mahesh Basnet took the oath of office and secrecy at the Office of the President in Shital Niwas which amid to be a function this morning. Prime Minister Sushil Koirala administered the ceremony.
Vice-President Parmanad Jha, Deputy Prime Ministers Bamdev Gautam, Prakashman Singh, former Prime Minister Jhalnatha Khanal, CPN (UML) chairman KP Oli, chiefs of constitutional bodies and chief secretary, among others were present on the occasion.
On the recommendation of the CPN (UML), Prime Minister Koirala appointed them as the ministers on Friday.
