Dhunche (Rasuwa), Nov 3,2014: The Chinese side has asked Nepal information regarding the formal preparations for operation of regular trade through the Rasuwagadhi transit point on the country’s northern border.
Chief District Officer Uddhav Prasad Bhattarai said that in a coordination meeting held between the Rasuwa district administration officials and the Chinese officials of the Kerung district on November 1, the Chinese officials informed that China’s preparations regarding increasing the regular trade through the border have been completed and they wanted the Nepal side to establish an immigration office on the border and formal information on this.
The coordination meeting was held as per the tradition of holding such meetings between the district administrations of both Nepal and China for checking illegal activities across the border and to maintain goodwill among the border officials of the two countries
