Kailali, Aug. 7:Â Of the 485 cooperatives registered in Kailali district, the registration of 30 has been revoked.
Cooperative Training and Division Office, Dhangadhi, said that the registration of the cooperatives was nullified for their failure to carry out their business in accordance with Cooperative Act. Most of the cooperatives scrapped are that of savings and credit cooperatives.
Chief of Cooperative Division Office Khemraj Bista shared that decision to cooperatives’ annulment was taken for not submitting audit reports, annual reports and documents on general assembly.
The Office nullified five Tikapur-based cooperatives, four of Joshipur, two of Pratappur VDC, five of Baliya, one of Attariya and 13 others of different VDCs.
