Representatives of British Parliament call on Nembang

Kathmandu, Sept 15: Representatives of the British Parliament have called on Chairman of the Constituent Assembly (CA), Subas Chandra Nembang, at the latter’s office, Singha Durbar, today.

On the occasion, British parliamentarian, John Stanley, told mediapersons that they discussed on various programmes to be celebrated on the occasion of the completion of 200 years’ friendly relations between Nepal and England. The meeting was held in course of extending friendly relation between the parliaments of both countries.

The British delegation enquired about the constitution writing process taken ahead after the second Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.

In response, CA Chairman Nembang said that constitution writing process has moved ahead in a positive way as all political parties are taking initiatives responsibly to promulgate the new constitution on the slated time.

Present on the occasion were Nembang, officials of CA Secretariat and members of the British delegation Jackie Doyle-Price, Fabian Hamilton, Kerry Mc Carthy, British Ambassador to Nepal, Andrew James Sparkes, Lord Grocott and Charlie Holloway. RSS
