Sherchan To Climb Mt Everest Once Again


April 22, 2015: Min Bahadur Sherchan, a 83 year old man is going to climb the Mt Everest on April 24, in order create the world record.

Sherchan was ex Gurkha army serviceman born at Bhurung-9 in Myagdi district. On May 25, 2008 Sherchan had climed the Mt.Everest at the age of 76 creating the record of the oldest person to climb it.

Since, a Japanese national, Yuchiro Miura, broke the record of Serchan, he again is willing to climb the Mt Everest and scheduled to leave Kathmandu for Lukla on April 24.

Chief at the Tourism promotion Department and Publicity Department Deputy-Chief of the CPN (UML), Surya Thapa, wished Serchan for his success by offering khada (shawl),at a news conference organised today.
