Kathmandu, July 23: The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is launching Business Literacy Project with a target to help build skills of 48,000 Nepalese in the west, mid-west and far-west regions of the country.
According to a US Embassy press release,the USAID will build skills in literacy, numeracy, entrepreneurship, financial management, and life skills as part of a new three year $4 billion project.
The project is part of the U.S. government’s five-year, $66 million Feed the Future Initiative in Nepal that aims to raise incomes and improve livelihoods for vulnerable households.
The project is a follow up of previous USAID efforts and expands on trainings empowering women, youths and marginalized communities.
