Hetauda, 15 Nov 2014: A large number of people in various VDCs and Hetauda municipality have been found suffering from viral fever and diarrhoea and vomiting  along with the change in the weather.

The Hetauda hospital alone receives 30 to 35 people on a day coming with complaints of viral fever and diarrhoea.

However, due to lack of sufficient beds, the hospital is finding it difficult to cope with the sudden rise in the number of patients, according to the hospital sources.

New born, children and the elderly are the most affected, says the hospital doctor Hari Bahadur Khadka.

Meanwhile, health posts, sub-health posts and area medical centres have been put on an alert situation along with necessary drugs and health personnel so as to avoid the diseases taking epidemic proportions, said acting Chief of the District Health Office, Surya Mani Subedi.
