28,000 illiterate people become literate in Dang

Tulasipur (Dang), July 22: As many as 28,000 illiterate people became literate in Dang district in the fiscal year 2013/14. A literacy campaign was launched by the District Education Office (DEO), Dang, with the objective of making Dang as ‘fully literate district’ within 2015.
District Education Officer, Pralhad Aryal, said that the office had run the literacy classes with the coordination of different organisations and schools. He added that it took at least three months to make the illiterate people literate one. Around Rs 10.20 million was invested for the literacy campaign in the district.
