Bhaktapur, 1st February, 2015Â : A total of 572,207 students are to appear in this year’s School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations scheduled from March 19.
According to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, of them, 427,082 are appearing in the regular stream and 145,125 in the exempted category.
The lowest number of students from Manang district and the highest from Kathmandu are to attend the examinations. Manang district has only 74 examinees while there are 34,421 examinees to appear in the SLC examinees from Kathmandu.
Similarly, a total of 135,305 students are going to appear this year’s examinations from the eastern region, 178,660 from central region, 101,761 from the western region, 86,748 from the mid-western region and 69,688 from the far-western region, according to the Office.
The Office said that printing of the question papers for the SLC examinations has been expedited at the Janak Education Materials Centre Ltd.
Exam controller Bishnu Bahadur Dware said that this year’s SLC examinations will start from March 19 and conclude on March 27.
