May 10, 2015: A candle light vigil to express deep grief to those who were killed during the massive 7.6 magnitude earthquake which struck on April 25 was held by the Boudha Trade Association on Saturday evening.

In the name of those killed in the earthquake 9 thousand candles were lit at premises of the famous Boudhanath Stupa in the capital city. In order to express deep condolence to the people, various ethnic and cultural groups lit the candles forming the shape of national flag and a stupa in the programme attended by Hindu and Buddhist gurus.Also for the fast recovery of the injured people and still missing persons gurus performed religious hymns praying.

“It was necessary for all Nepali people and the political parties to unite to face the national crisis”,said CPN (UML) leader and Constituent Assembly member Rameshwor Funyal on the occasion.likewise, Association Chairman Ram Kumar Karki said that the programme would be useful to transform the grief resulting from huge loss of lives into strength.
