Kathmandu, November 25, 2018: Australian Ambassador to Nepal, Peter Budd hosted a reception at his residence on November 22 to bid farewell to recipients of the Australia Awards Scholarships for 2019. A total of 29 scholarship recipients which includes 13 government officials, will be travelling to Australia to pursue the post-graduate course at different Australian universities.
Ambassador Budd congratulated the Australia Awards recipients and reminded them that they were selected to participate in Australia Awards to make a significant contribution to the development of Nepal after completing their courses.
The Australian Government offered 3,186 Australia Awards scholarships, fellowships and short courses to individuals from over 55 developing countries for 2019. From Nepal,17 females and 12 males received the Australia Awards Scholarships for 2019 out of which, three recipients are with the disability.
